Grand Rapids, MI – A nonprofit that offers care, comfort, and a free place to stay for families with sick children appoints 5 new board members to move the mission forward.

With a goal to continue to move the Ronald McDonald House mission forward, the organization has appointed 5 new members to the Board of Directors. The new board leadership will aid in the organization’s growth and awareness, according to Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan (RMHWM). The board provides the resources and expertise needed for RMHWM to serve nearly 300 families with hospitalized children each year.

“We are excited to have such an exceptional group of individuals to help lead our organization,” said Ellen Carpenter, Executive Director of RMHWM. “They come with passion and knowledge that will move our mission forward in the coming years.”

Board members each serve three-year terms.

“We have big things in the works for RMHWM and I know this is the team we need to make it happen.” said Carpenter. The newly appointed board members are as follows:

  • Ken Berg, McDonald’s Owner/Operator
  • Xuesi Li, Senior Manager, Consulting – GEP Worldwide
  • Lisa Manor, Director of Procurement, Priority Health
  • Brittney Smith, Product Marketing Senior Specialist, Steelcase
  • Kristen Williams, Vice President Customer and Digital Technology, Meijer Inc

The organization looks forward to what these community leaders will bring to the House and the families it serves.
