Meal Making & Treat Baking Volunteers

Help Families Feel at Home

Help create a warm, welcoming space where families can recharge together.

By preparing a meal or baking treats at Ronald McDonald House, you provide more than just nourishment – you offer comfort during one of the most difficult times in a family’s life. Explore how you can make a meaningful difference through our volunteer opportunities below.

Meal Makers

Providing home-cooked and nutritious meals for Families is the core of our mission. By inviting families home for dinner, RMHC West Michigan helps families save money as well as their time and energy.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

– Groups (maximum 5 people) are invited to make a meal onsite in our fully stocked kitchen.
– All skill sets welcome
– Meal Making takes roughly 2 hours
– Any volunteer under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
– All you need to do is show up and be ready to cook! RMHC West Michigan will provide a menu, recipes, and all necessary ingredients.

Note: When registering, if you see “1 spot left,” that means the shift is available for your group. If a shift is full, it won’t appear as an option for that date and time.

Treat Bakers

Volunteer Treat Bakers provide a remarkable level of comfort for those in a crisis. This is just one way that we help ensure the Families are able to focus on what’s most important – the health of their child.

Make a Difference for Those in Need

Parents don’t often know when their child will need medical care outside of their hometown. But they should know that if that happens, they have a place to stay. With your help, all families will have access to quality healthcare and a place to heal together as a family.
