As a Family Services Volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House you make a direct
impact on children and families in their moment of greatest need. Review available opportunities at the House below.

Receptionist Volunteer

Receptionist Volunteers are responsible for supporting front office functions through a variety of clerical and data entry functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet guest families and visitors
  • Answering and handling incoming phone calls
  • Complete outgoing phone calls
  • Organize or sort files and donated items
  • Assist with family paperwork and filing
  • Assist with mailings, printing, stocking, organizing, and other duties as required

Due to the nature of our organization, Receptionsist volunteers must:

  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete volunteer training as needed

In-House Volunteer

In House volunteers are responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the House by performing a variety of House related duties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet guest families and visitors
  • Supplemental front desk support as needed
  • Organizing or sorting files and donated items
  • Completing cleaning and organization tasks
  • Completing House laundry
  • Resetting family rooms
  • Assist with mailings, printing, stocking, and other duties as required

    Due to the nature of our organization, In House volunteers must:

    • Pass a criminal background check
    • Be 18 years of age or older
    • Complete volunteer training as needed
    • Ability to walk up and down stairs and lift up to 30 lbs.

    Shuttle Driver Volunteers

    Shuttle Driver volunteers are responsible for transporting families to and from the hospital safely and timely. Shuttle Driver volunteers should be willing to commit to a weekly or biweekly shift for a minimum of 12 months.

    Current shuttle schedule is daily 8:30 – 9:30 am and 7:30-8:30 pm.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Transporting RMHWM families to and from local hospitals
    • Assisting in setting up car seats should families be transporting children
    • Performing general driving related tasks as require by RMHCWM (Examples include delivering or pick up product to/from other agencies, fueling vehicles, etc.)
    • Other various tasks as required

      Due to the sensitive nature of our organization, Shuttle Driver volunteers must:

      • Pass a criminal background check
      • Submit driver’s license information and pass a Motor Vehicle Records check
      • Pass a driving test administered at onboarding, then as required after
      • Be between the ages of 21 and 70
