Grand Rapids, MI – The Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan (RMHWM) is thrilled to share with you our 17-room renovation project!

We are grateful as we have navigated the continued impacts of COVID-19 to announce that our room upgrades are now well underway and nearing completion. As all the pieces have come together, we are confident that these updates will enhance the care and comfort of families served by RMWHM and allow for efficient cleaning and maintenance of these spaces over time.

When families come to RMHWM it is our goal to provide them with a comfortable and warm experience, where they have no worries other than to care for their child. Thanks to the Ronald McDonald House Outstate Charities and the West Michigan Marketing Association, we were able to renovate all 17 of our rooms to provide the best possible experience for families.

New floors, freshly painted walls, hotel grade linens, and stunning room artwork, our rooms received the ultimate upgrade. “Wow! Walking into our newly renovated room at the RMH, I immediately felt an incredible sensation of warmth. The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. The new beds and bedding are so comfortable and cozy. Thank you for always exceeding our expectations,” shares the Mison Family, one of our first families to stay with us after the renovation.

At RMHWM we work with volunteers and community members to make sure our families have one less thing to worry about. When they come back from a day at the hospital there is a home-cooked meal or warm cookies waiting for them, and a comfortable and cozy bed to rest their heads. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to provide a space that fosters mental, physical, and emotional rest for our families while they care for their critically ill children.
