Red Shoe Society
Engaging new and younger donors with RMHC West Michigan
The Red Shoe Society (RSS) is a board of young professionals with the mission to raise awareness, funds, and volunteer hours for the Ronald McDonald House.
ATTEND EVENTS | ADVOCATE FOR FAMILIES | BUILD AWARENESS
The Red Shoe Society’s goal is to engage more people in the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan (RMHCWM), raise new funds for the House, and bring a fresh new perspective to our organization. They will be managing pieces of all three of the RMHCWM hallmark events – keep an eye out for them to see how you can engage, learn more, and join the movement of continuing to grow the support, awareness, and efforts of the House.

Hailey Pieprzyk | Secretary
Hailey is a 24 year old making her way in life as a Project Manager for a local GR advertising agency, Highland Group. She interned for the RMHCWM in 2019 and fell in love with its mission and the work it does for families in need of medical care for their child(ren) in Grand Rapids. After a brief hiatus the past couple of years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she can’t wait to be a helping hand and get involved with the House again!
Brianna, a Chicago native, graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2016. She is currently back in school getting her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. On the side, Brianna is a professional bowler. While living in Chicago, she was involved with the Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn. This encouraged her to get involved with the house here in Grand Rapids. Brianna is married to her husband Nate, who is a general surgery resident at Spectrum Health. They have a 2-year-old golden retriever named Mabel who keeps them busy! Brianna can’t wait to help spread the word and invited others to be involved with the amazing things that the Ronald McDonald House is doing for families in need.
Laura Sterenberg comes to RMHCWM with a wealth of experience and is thrilled to be a part of the Red Shoe Society! She is a project manager for Highland Group, an advertising firm in Grand Rapids, working with several local companies. Outside of the office, she can be found trying out a new, local restaurant, sitting on her porch with her dog, or catching up on her favorite TV shows. She is looking forward to making more connections in her community and representing the amazing work of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Steve was born and raised in Grand Rapids and currently works as a Senior Graphic Designer on the Marketing Team for JR Automation. Steve is an avid artist who loves sketching and all things design. He also was a gymnast who on occasions, will throw some skills out! Steve is always eager to contribute wherever he can to the Grand Rapids community. He is excited to be involved with the Ronald McDonald House and is looking forward to this amazing opportunity!
Megan graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and currently works in marketing for Steelcase. Originally from the Detroit area of Michigan, Megan was involved with a local charity there, The Jenna Kast Believe in Miracles Foundation which gave hope-filled gifts to children battling life-threatening illnesses. Now living on the west side, Megan has been eager to plug into the community here in Grand Rapids. She’s excited to serve at an organization she’s passionate about and hopefully get more young professionals involved with the Ronald McDonald House too! Megan followed the trend of adopting a dog during the pandemic, so outside of work + RMHCWM, you can typically find Megan with her golden retriever pup, Ruthie.
