Grand Rapids, MI – Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) West Michigan’s invites families to sign up to volunteer with their children as a summer activity!
April 17 – 23 is National Volunteer Appreciation Week and RMCH West Michigan is grateful for its 1000+ volunteers that provide warm meals, fresh desserts, decorated snack bags, and more at the House daily. Without the dedication of the community, RMHC West Michigan would not be able to provide families with the comforts they deserve.
Serving families is the mission of RMHC West Michigan and having families helping families brings the mission full circle. In 2021, 40% of the volunteers at RMHC West Michigan were families including multi-generational families and tourists who found themselves in West Michigan for the summer months.
As the school year comes to an end, RMHC West Michigan is inviting families, college students, teachers, and anyone wanting to make a difference, to sign up to volunteer! With flexible scheduling, the meals and treats volunteer opportunity is great for just about everyone – and all ages! Volunteer shifts typically take about 2 hours and happen on any weekday.
Signing up to volunteer is simple! Those interested in becoming a volunteer can visit their website, rmhcwm.org, or email Kortney Hapner at khapner@rmhcwm.org.
