Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan hires Gregg Hampshire as Development Director

(GRAND RAPIDS, MI) – Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan (RMHCWM) announces that Gregg Hampshire has been hired as Director of Development. Hampshire started in January and will serve as the organization’s lead fundraiser, taking over for Salina Bishop, who became President and Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2025.
Hampshire has over a decade of experience in community development, youth advocacy, and fundraising. He is a Crain’s Grand Rapids “40 Under 40” honoree and recipient of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Grand Rapids “Good to Great” Award.
As Development Director, Hampshire will manage development staff and lead efforts to build meaningful partnerships, strengthen donor relationships, and secure resources to support families during critical medical journeys.

He most recently served as Executive Director of the Creston Neighborhood Association, where he achieved record-breaking sponsorship growth, created initiatives addressing food access, and worked closely with the City of Grand Rapids on the development of the Area Specific Plan for Creston. Before that, he directed health equity programs at the Urban League of West Michigan and served as Director of Education at Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes.

Hampshire, his wife Chloe, and their daughter reside in Grand Rapids. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Valley State University. He is a Leadership Grand Rapids Class of 2025 participant, volunteer speaker, and educator for Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes.
